Bastion, a stablecoin infrastructure provider, has received preliminary conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for a national trust bank charter. Operating as Bastion Platforms National Trust Company, the firm will offer stablecoin custody, payment infrastructure, and white-label issuance under federal regulation. The company also appointed four new board members and advisors with extensive experience from American Express, Morgan Stanley, EY, and Optum.
