AZN's Etcamah Fails Late-Stage Study for First-line Breast Cancer
AstraZeneca announced that its phase III SERENA-4 study evaluating Etcamah combined with Pfizer's Ibrance failed to meet its primary endpoint of progression-free survival as first-line treatment for ER-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer, though numerical improvement was observed. The failure does not affect Etcamah's recent FDA approval for a switch strategy in patients with ESR1 resistance mutations.
